A picturesque haven full of white sand beaches and lush green landscapes, this gorgeous hinterland is perfect for the relaxed, friendly and laid back attitudes of the Sunshine Coast. With Brisbane close enough but not too close, beaches at your doorstep and education opportunities in abundance, it’s understandable why you’d want to live there.
But where on the Sunshine Coast should you look to build your brand new home? With the lack of land currently available, we’ve narrowed it down to the top five suburbs to consider moving to for both upcoming suburbs and new suburbs that have great infrastructure plans.
Only 15 minutes from the heart of the Sunshine Coast, this rustic estate is the perfect country-side living retreat. The mix of smaller and larger lots allows for families, budgets and home designs of all kinds with lots of room for choice. The rolling green hills and surrounding orchards begged the developer to include high-end landscaping, upgraded road access and flourishing streetscapes to hone in on the uniqueness of the estate, whilst maintaining the long-lasting value in real estate. There’s both a bus and train station in the Palmwoods suburb meaning you don’t have to have a car to cruise through this rural landscape. With only one more stage to go in the development, the Panorama estate is one we highly recommend.
Close to the Sunshine Coast, the Bokarina Beach estate is only 20 minutes away. Families are welcomed here with walking trails, playgrounds and a large retail precinct alongside the expansive, dog-friendly beach. Key healthcare workers are in luck here too with the large Sunshine Coast Hospital as well as the Kanawa Health Precinct only a short walk or drive away from the estate. Plenty of activities for a date night out or family day with the Kanawa Aquarium, Venue 114 entertainment district and farmers markets only around the corner. This Bokarina Beach estate is another golden opportunity we’d recommend to anyone looking to build on the Sunshine Coast.
Manicured streets and inclusive front-landscaping is what’s attracting buyers to this boutique estate, just 20 minutes from inner Sunshine Coast. This newly-developed estate is set alongside 20ha of gorgeous, lush green natural habitat - perfect for taking the kids camping on weekends. Education is well thought out with a primary school now open in the area as well as a highschool set to open in 2023, with many other options nearby. The Village Green estate is a great family hub, situated just minutes from the beach, that we’d recommend for your 2022 build.
Located half an hour from the Sunshine Coast innercity, these large, levelled out blocks are the perfect rural living lifestyle without the rural aspect! An environmental corridor runs through the estate with walking trails over top and 40ha of land, there’s always room for an adventure. This small country town has a horse riding centre, recreation reserve, community hall, bakery, shopping centre and schools as well. You can travel either by horse or by railway, with Mooloolah Valley train stop only five minutes from the estate. We can’t get enough of the Hillside estate, and recommend it all looking for the countryside living without the country commitment.
Situated 30 minutes from the centre of the Sunshine Coast and 40 minutes from Brisbane CBD, this inbetween suburb is the perfect lakeside getaway. Being so close to the popular Caloundra, this estate has its own big brand grocery stores as well as an early learning centre, an early learning - year 12 school, a university , an aged care facility and a hospital all within 15 minutes drive. The Pelican Waters estate emanates convenience whilst living luxuriously beside the waters edge.
If you’re interested in building in any of these estates for 2022, visit one of your nearest display homes to discuss which homes can fit on the available blocks.
